(We are currently heavily in the repair and rebuild phase of recovery from the July 4th flood. We are closed until May 1, 2026. We will reopen with 2 of our 2 bedroom cabins and 3 of our 1 bedroom cabins. All 5 will be newly renovated, with updated photos on the website as they are available. We appreciate your support! Waltonia on the River is a peaceful place where generations of families have come to relax, reconnect, and make memories. As one of our long-time guests said “This is a great place to unplug and recharge. A place to just enjoy family time.” Other guests refer to their vacation time here, away from their busy schedules, as “Waltonia Time”.
Waltonia has been open since 1923, and is now owned and operated by a 4th generation of Secors. Over the decades, the resort has been a cherished tradition for our family, and for families who return year after year. Many guests recall fond memories of fishing with their grandfathers, swimming in the river with their siblings, staying up late to play ping pong, or stories of their grandparents playing dominos in the evenings with my grandparents. As the years go by, the resort remains a place where new memories are made, while old ones are treasured and passed down from one generation to the next.

Perfect for canoes, kayaks, swimming and fishing. We have 600′ of private riverfront and a large concrete dock. You don’t have to cross a busy highway to get to our riverfront!

Waltonia on the River is 10 acres of open space
We have a central recreational area with a pavilion, playground and sports. The pavilion has held wedding receptions, family reunion gatherings, and my own family hosting meals for neighbors and family. We have a ping pong table and a two picnic tables in the pavilion, along with Jumbo Jenga and 4 Across. We recently added a concrete patio adjacent to the pavilion that has 2 cornhole sets. Near the pavilion area is a large, shaded playground structure and swings. We also have a basketball goal, volleyball court and soccer goals.
Waltonia is perfect for your family reunion, group, or just a single cabin for a few days to enjoy some river time and relaxation. We have cabins with 2 bedrooms, 1 bedroom and an efficiency layout. All cabins have a screened porch, porch swing, picnic table and BBQ pit.
